Debbie on Jun 22, 2015go to home depot or lowes they have a trim product that is fiberboard it is less expensive. Just look at the isles where they have trim boards.Helpful Reply

Kate on Jun 22, 2015You might want to keep an eye out on Craigslist for bargains. Search using terms like "molding" "moulding" "baseboards" "casing" "millwork" "mdf" "wood trim" "trim work." Also, check local area Habitat for Humanity Restores. They often have builders' overruns or salvage from home remodels. If you'll be painting the moldings, MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard" is much more reasonable than real wood, and the difference is indistinguishable when painted and mounted. Bonus: they come already primed.Helpful Reply
