DIY Numbered Storage Bins

When designing my son's "big boy" room, I wanted to give him lots of storage for all of his toys, and I also wanted to make it easy for him to help clean up.
We placed two bookshelves along one wall of his room, and I decided to use the top row of each for books, and the bottom row for storage.
These bins helped my son with his number recognition. He knows just what belongs in each bin, and he can articulate that that his animals belong in number 4, while his cars belong in number 6. He now loves putting away his own toys, which makes me a happy mom and keeps his room clean!
