Never, Ever Throw A Broken Dish Away Again!

I was just about to throw this broken cake stand away. It had been sitting in the garage for way too long. But instead of making its way into the garbage can, it landed on my kitchen counter.
I glued the broken piece back on, and let it dry well. I prepared a thick mixture of casting plaster with a few drops of water (oatmeal consistency and applied it on the surface of the cake stand, and then underneath the surface and around leg, allowing each spot to dry for about 3-4 hours.
When it was all dry, I scratched the surface with a knife to remove bumps and spots of hard cast that were not looking nice.
It now looks just like some weathered stone!
And it's now a beautiful pedestal dish to hold seasonal items!
