Donna Bavaro-Kennell on Aug 06, 2015I wouldnt use modge podge to glue them down with, you need something more durable, like contact cement. Can then use grout around them, any mosiac that you do will make the table a bit heavyHelpful Reply

Joanne G on Aug 06, 2015Thank you Donna, you have set me straight. My steps are set and I am going to start my project soon. I know it will be a little heavy but I will try to keep it as light as possible by the number of decorations I put on it. Will post pics when done.Helpful Reply

Cindy on Aug 06, 2015The easiest way to do this would be to get a tile grout/adhesive in one and use that to glue your stones in. You can put a thick enough layer on that it will hold the stones (just like if you were attaching tile) and since it is a grout, too - it will fill your spaces. just pick a color you like, seal when dry and you're done. I do this with flower pots - I use smashed china bits to make mosaic pots out of plain terra cotta pots - paint the rims and bottoms a coordinating color (just plain cheap craft paint) and they make great gifts.Helpful Reply
