Toilet paper storage

Does anyone have an idea for storing toilet paper in a very small bathroom? My daughter's college apt has 1 1/2 baths, neither of which is large. The 4 girls need somewhere to store t.p. and girlie stuff in a discreet way.

If there is a plunger you have a pole to put about 4 rolls on it like a tower. Make sure it stays dry. I use 3x rolls too. They last longer......

Well tp is something everyone uses, so buy the girls a tp tower for Target or WalMart. As far as the other things, maybe someone could build a shelving unit with doors to fit over the toilet.

My bathroom in the master suite is absolutely non-existent, room to sit on the toilet and close the door, period. The only other thing in the room is a walk-in garden shower, glass enclosed (2 sliding opaque glass sliding doors in a steel frame). I have a wicker basket (fabric lined, on too of toilet top) for towels, facecloths, bathing suits - all rolled and placed in basket, also powder and feminine wash. To the side, there is barely a small piece of wall, to which I have added, 2 wrought iron shelves, they came as a set of 3 - small smaller and smallest, (the third one is above the electric plug outside the toilet, near the mirror for my hair appliances, wax pot and other misc.) on this I store package of toilet paper (6 mega rolls), tissues (3 pack in plastic sleeve), a gold plated roll basket, which houses my soaps and a few ointments. The shower door has a towel rack, for my convenience - upon which hang my small hand towel for wiping, toilet cleaner and windex - hanging by their nozzles, cottonelle wipes, etc...The wrought iron shelves have curlicues (shaped like letter S, supports) I hang my hair drying houdinis here by their little elastic tabs, also a sparkly metallic gift bag also hangs here and holds other various misc. items. I then have an over the door rack that accomadates 4-5 hangers, housing 6 swimsuits, my sun hat and glasses (Florida, need multiple suits). Also I have one of those slim elastic hair bands that is strung from on side of the lower curlicue to other, on which I can hang further items. Behind the door there is a towel rack, it had a hamper bag with grommets, mounted flush against the wall under it, 2 bath towels hanging on it, and my husbands swimsuits. Could you get more space out of this small bathroom? Hardly!

why not get 2 of those cabinets that mount over commode that is on spring tenison things They have some that look very nice and have doors. That won't mess up walls, take up room and can go with her if she moves.

Target recently had wire garbage cans in their $1-3 deal section. I grabbed a bunch as they make for practical storage, and I think they are better than the 40 rolls of TP I had on our top (open) bathroom shelf.

I bought a free standing ceramic paper towel holder..it will hold 2 rolls, then I just stacked the other rolls on top..too simple? It works..absolutely no room in the bath for anything else. I just put it on the floor between the toilet and the wall.

One thing that my daughter and I did for her dorm rooms bathroom was to make jute wrapped cardboard boxes that look like baskets. I've posted a picture here. All we did was take a smallish cardboard box and cut off the flaps. Then we wrapped the outside of the box with jute string until we reached about 2 inches from the top, hot gluing all the way up to hold the string. Then we took a strip of fabric that was long enough to go from one side to the other and line the bottom while overlapping the sides by 2.5"s. Fold the edges under by .5" and glue down with hot glue and glue down the bottom edges and bottom. Cut side pieces to cover sides and to overlap sides, fold over, glue down. Once the material is all in place, continue wrapping the jute until it covers about .5" of the material, then cut off the jute. YOURE ALL DONE!! It's just that simple! Good Luck!

Maybe some of those hanging 3 tier baskets that people use to put fruit and stuff in. I have one to the left of my sink holding rolled up dishtowels in my kitchen colors. Each could have one and using some elastic or Velcro to put material around it to cover. A strong hook or on a plant arm hook in the ceiling or wall will hold it up! Not too much damage to be done to the walls. I also have a corner tension rod in my shower to hold stuff, shampoos, etc. You could put one in the corner of the room and cover it up. Also a shower curtain with pockets on the outside of the shower could hold some items. A behind the door overhang with those wire shelf baskets. I think there are numerous ideas if you put your thinking caps on. Good luck!

I've seen old CD towers recycled as TP holders and/or space for rolled up towels, or for little baskets for nail polish, cotton balls etc.

My daughter just bought a house and the previous owners left a TP holder that hooks over the side of the water reservoir. I've never seen them before but you could look at home stores or maybe Hobby Lobby if you have some close by.

The dutch have broomstick poles fastened to a base so it stands up. You can stack approx 6-8 rolls, tucked in by the side of the toilet tank. Mine has a rooster on the top!

I use a cute basket to hold in our 1/2 bath down stairs. Set it between the wall and the toilet if it fits.

I like to use a glass cylinder (the type used as a candle holder) and stack the tp in it. They are very reasonable at Marshalls, Home Goods or any store that carries candle décor.

I use this also, bought a big cylinder vase from homegoods

I bought shopping bag from the grocery store with the same colors as my bath. Hung it from a command hook on the side of a cabinet and it holds a lot of tp! Uses no floor space, which is a plus for a small bathroom.

Hi. I made a storage cabinet that sits on the back of the toilet. It has 2 drawers for monthly items, and two doors that conceal 8 rolls of tp.

I e actually slid extra toilet paper over the handle of my plunger and toilet brush. Years ago we cut top n bottom from coffee cans then stacked em and wrapped in contact paper. Keep 2 lids for bottom n top.

Polly, I use a 6" diameter pvc pipe that holds 6 rolls. I bought a solid cap for the bottom, and use a plastic coffee can lid as the top. I spray painted it. It sits on the corner of the wall and tub. For the 'in use' roll, I bought one of those chrome spare roll holders that hand on the tank, I merely cut a slit on the plastic top of the pvc pipe and the holder is at hand. I didn't like anything that would leave the rolls exposed to 'mist' from flushing. The mist has a way of escaping even with the lid down before the flush. (To protect the toothbrushes/toothpaste tube from that same 'mist', I cut the top off of a 2 liter soda bottle and invert that over the toothbrushes/toothpaste tubes).

A picture of the bathroom would be nice, then we could help you out with ideas. Otherwise toilet paper is such a necessity that anywhere is going to be good storage as long as it's IN there when you need it!
