Hey. Any advice on the best way to reattach the metal piece that fell off the rim of my antique wooden table?

Hudson Designs on Nov 06, 2011I would use a little Loctite PL PREM. adhesive caulk. You can find it at Lowes.Helpful Reply

KMS Woodworks on Nov 06, 2011I would use a 2 part epoxy...before mixing it up though be sure that the metal piece is the right shape...and has not gotten bent or kinked. You want the pieces to match each other perfectly. The glue I use the most is the 5 min epoxy from Devcon. mix up a small batch on a scrap of cardboard and apply a thin layer to the metal. Position the piece exactly where it need to be and secure with a few strips of painters tape pulled tight over the metal. clean up any glue squeeze out before it hardens... use just enough glue to minimize this. After a few hours you can remove the tape.Helpful Reply
