If you know me,, you know that I love all things Halloween. I have a fairly large collection of Halloween decor currently, so spending money on new items is something I would like to avoid! So, I got creative this year because I still love to have new pieces each season! Follow along with this cute, cheap, and simple DIY that is perfect for October!

First, I grabbed an old frame I had laying around and some matte black spray paint. I painted the ENTIRE thing black, including the glass pane. Paint according to the directions on your can, and then let dry. I ended up needed to do two coats.

Then, I grabbed some fake leaves I had. I painted them a dark shade of gray. Think: dark enough to look like bats, but light enough to show up on a black background. Let dry.

Once the leaves where dry, I xut6the bottoms off to get rid of the huge divot at the bottom of each leaf.

Then, I cut a little triangle out of the top of the leaves. The next shot will give you a better idea of what this should look like!

Once you have two little points for bat ears, paint the details on! I used white for the eyes, mouth, and vampire fangs, and black for the pupils. I used a combination of very small paint brushes for this and toothpicks.

The toothpicks worked great for the small details! Don't forget to sharpen those fangs!

Attach the bats to the frame and enjoy! These little vampire bats were so fun to make! I hope you enjoy them to!
