DIY Rain Chain ( Rain Chain Part 2 )
A follow up rain chain alternative craft.
These are the materials you will need. Reinforced aluminum wire( 16 gage is best ), marbles, pliers, and something to put at the end if you want to.
Cut 8 feet of wire. You will need more wire for a longer chain and less for a shorter.
Create a loop a the top to hold your rain chain.
Get a marble into place by creating a swirled housing.
Place your next marble. Create a loop at the top and bottom to hold it in place.
Continue to put marbles in place and make sure they are secure.
Don't worry, if you really don't like how your rain chain is coming out you can unbend and start over. Just make sure to go slow and try not to unbend that many times. You don't want to weaken the metal.
Make a loop at the end to finish off the rain chain.
Hang your rain chain outside.
Let your rain chain do it's thing! It wasn't raining when I filmed this so I poured water down it to show how it would work.

The wire used for this chain is aluminum, there was the suggestion of aluminum or copper to use rather than stainless steel. The suggestion of marbles was also used. Thank you all for your feed back. I will do better as a creator to continue to make more sustainable crafts that are both decorative and will last for longer periods of time outside in the elements.

Ah. I think I now know what a 'slinky' is. Never knew what it was called. Sometimes I see them in the 'sale' bins at various stores.

What is the brown tubing? No proper gutters? Hard to tell in the photos. Gutters keeping water away from the foundation would be priority 1 in our book. U may have that already covered; hard to tell.
Do you need to use pliers to make the 'housing' for the marbles? Or is the wire easy to twist into the right shape without using pliers? Thank You. (ps it looks so pretty, and fairly easy to make).
