DIY Friendship Tag

A few years ago I received a Friendship tag. Even though I had made a few over the years, I had not created any for at least 3 years. To be honest I had forgotten about them until the other day when I decided I wanted to send something special to far a way friends. Going through many plastic school boxes to see what craft supplies I had I ran across 2 different sized wooden tags and then it hit me- make my GFs Friendship tags.
I have displayed mine on my bulletin board for many years and I know that I reminds me of the friendship I once shared. I have a couple friends who are going through tough times and I found a sticker package with some inspirational messages that suited the direction I was going.
This craft is not for everyone but I am one person who loves to create and to receive gifts from the heart. It is the thought that counts.
If you have a stash of rhinestones, beads, and stickers or even scrapbook paper you can easily create these Friendship tags. I used Modge Podge to attach most stickers and hot glue on the rhinestones and beads. If you have many of the supplies already or even if you have to go out and buy them, you can make each one of these Friendship tags for less than $2. I used wood because I found I am heavy with the glue and wood will not ripple from the hot glue.
Creativity is as individual as we all are. Using hot glue enables you to create dimension and also holds the rhinestones and beads on better. I am all about making a mess and having fun, What a great project to do with the kids!
Creating. Inspiring. Gardening without the rules!
