Can anyone help me? I am hand making a fairy house cottage style with a chimney stack on the outside. What colours make the proper colour of stone work?

Google pictures of stone chimneys and pick a color that co-ordinates with the color of your house. Chimneys can be various shades of grey or browns.

I would say the same as Judy...everything from charcoal grey to light tan, even off white can be found in stones...depends on the area. If they are quartz, most of them will be light colored, in Kentucky and some other areas, they use limestone which is a yellowish tan. If rounded river rocks are used, most will be grey of some shade although in some parts of the country you will have other colors. Google 'rock chimneys' and use one of those photos for a guide.

Go to Sherwin Williams and ask them to mix you and "putty" color.

I bought a lovely, life like fairy at JoAnns but not sure you have that chain in UK but they do have a web site. However, most of their fairies are a little large so not sure they would be right for your scale...whatever that is. Most of theirs were about one inch to the foot or dollhouse scale.
