LandlightS on Jan 27, 2012IMHO they are safer than propane, but no matter what it says on the box or what a salesperson tells you, a portable electric heater is limited to 1500 watts and will only produce approximately 5200 BTU's which will only supplement the heating system of a 12 X 15 ft room. And as stated above, it may overload your circuits.Helpful Reply
