We have researched killing this horrible vine and everything is saying nothing will kill it!! Help....

Cut the stems off as close to the ground as possible and then paint the stem with an herbicide containing glyphosate. This will not be a one-time process, but eventually you will be rid of your unwanted honeysuckle.

will give it a try, thank you
  • yes, agree with doug. i have honeysuckle growing on two fences (i happen to like it) but i have learned that even if you trim it, cut it, etc, you really neeed to wack it as far down as you can then like doug said kill it off because just cutting it will not kill it. it just grows and grows. you may have to dig up the main root too to finally get rid of it.

I think a match might do the trick, hahahaha. Thanks guys this is gonna be a long process, I know we will never rid of it, if it were only in the edge of the woods this wouldnt be a problem, but it's taking over shrubs and we cant even begin to keep up with this stuff every year!!!
