How to share a start of my gloriosia lilies.
How can I get more starts from my Gloriosia lilies? They multiply and spread but I want to share with my daughters.

CarmaLeta, I can see why you would want to share your beautiful gloriosa lilies with your daughters. You can propagate them from the seeds your lilies produce, but you will have to be patient. It takes about four months for the seeds to sprout and get started, and the University of Florida recommends that they then be grown in pots for three years before being planted in the ground: http://okeechobee.ifas.ufl.edu/News%20columns/Gloriosa%20Lily.htm

Thanks for replying---Now, do the seeds come after the blooms are gone? And do youdry and then plant in pots--ort plant right away?
