KarleneZawodny on Jul 22, 2016I would choose a bright color because your front door is lost under that awning, maybe a yellow or tealHelpful Reply

SBlizzard on Jul 22, 2016Could the shutters be blue also? Perhaps a few shades darker that the door? An updated picture would help with the updated colors you already have. My house has similar bricks and roof as yours. My siding is cream/yellow. My door is blue and my shutters are black. We also have white trim and columns. Can you paint the almond?Helpful Reply

Olene Bigelow on Jul 22, 2016If you want to go mono, select the color of the brick for shutters and front door. If you want a pop of color, I like the teal idea, but don't forget to put shutters beside that first floor front window as well. It looks very alone in that expanse of brick -- throws the scale off.Helpful Reply

Jim L on Jul 23, 2016Please, DO NOT put those tiny shutters on that huge window! That looks so bad! Paint the garage door the same as the upper part of the house...then use a medium gray for the front door, storm door trim as well as the upper shutters. Right now, the house, while attractive, is "browned" to death! (Use a high gloss paint on the doors.)Helpful Reply

Johnchip on Jul 23, 2016The white trim above the garage is doing you no favors. Paint it to match the brick color. And if you put shutters on first floor window, put in a window box to match. Color of shutters should be dark, not match door it is too much 'candy' across the facade.Helpful Reply

Jackie Hendricks on Jul 23, 2016Contrast, contrast, contrast! Make it all pop with color! Shades of teals, greens, and blues look wonderful with all shades of brown. Take your pick!Helpful Reply

861650 on Jul 23, 2016Looked at your picture several times and tried to enlarge it but did not succeed . Wanted to see your brick colors better. Personally, I have never liked the garage doors facing the front...but that's just me. Consider painting it as well so that it blends in more which makes it disappear. Further, Please do a lot of research online on existing homes similar to yours. You could drive through neighborhoods and look at other homes and bring along pictures of your house. I would even take several close-up pics of your bricks too. Will also help when picking out paint.Helpful Reply
