Kayestes on Jul 28, 2016Using painters tape, tape off a border all around and then a stripe across the middle. Paint the large areas with red and the stripe and border blue. Then you could stamp or stencil white stars over the blue borders. Colors are nuetral as well as a Patriotic Touch. Good luck with whatever you do. Just making this for the kids you are already a winner.Helpful Reply

MaryAnn Kelly on Jul 29, 2016You can do the legs in different colors. The top in a light color, then stripes in the legs colors or intersecting circles - making the intersections a combination of the overlapping circles. I used Lazertran(a transfer film that must be printed at an office store-not home computer ink) that I printed with flower fairies to make old fashioned decals, that I put on the table and then coated with spray polyurethane. I printed the pictures at home with as many designs on the page as possible. You could use Disney or comic book pictures instead. Have Fun!Helpful Reply

Dusty on Jul 29, 2016If you stay away from pink, just about any color can pass as boy or girl. Look at the colors in your room. I'd let the children pick out several colors ( from a list I made). Paint the whole table black. Allow it to dry good, then haphazardly press down painters tape in all directions. Or, you could tape off parallel lines that are not uniformed. Paint the spaces using the colors the children chose. The black lines will really make the colors pop! Don't forget to cover with a good quality polyurethane.Helpful Reply
