I think that is your decision and nobody elses to be honest.

Hi, I'm guessing you don't know the gender - what's your favorite color? paint what you love, it doesn't have to be a "baby theme". I painted my oldest room blue (because I love blue) with lamb accesories. the accessories were passed on to siblings, but not the blue room. Paint what you like - doesn't have to be pink or blue!

Thank you. We are definitely expecting a girl. Shade of pinks and coordinating colors. My daughter-in-law decided she does lile pink.

Actually babies , male and female, like bright colors better than pastels. It gives them energy and they are more alert. Try showing your baby different colors, Bright and pastel and see if it reaches toward one. If so that's the color you want.

Any pastel color would be nice..how about a soft mint green with light peach and off white accents? Soothing soft colors to promote restful sleep.

I too like the suggestion of mint green, maybe a bright mint green, that will go with any other color. Green and Navy for a boy, Green and Pink for a girl. Best of luck and Congratulations!

When I was pregnant, I painted the baby's room a light peach color and added a border of teddy bears with blue & pink bows ... as he got older I just changed the border.

Periwinkle is a pretty color for a baby girl's room. You can use complementary bright colors for the bedding and wall decorations.

This made me laugh. . I have a niece who insisted that her brand new baby girl was not going to be another 'pink girl.' So she specified that decorations and gifts were to be lavendar or purple. The baby is now 13 and is old enough to pick her own colors. She picks pink. Honestly any bright clean combination (or If you prefer, gentle color combination) will work. Pick what you like. When she is 13, she will, too.

A pretty taupe with pinkish undertones is a beautiful color that goes with anything. Also, the shade changes with the light, so the color will look different depending on the time of day, season, etc. I have found taupe with a little pink in it to be quite soothing, which, as a mother of four and grandmother of eight, is always a win. Congratulations on your precious new addition!
