Johnchip on Oct 31, 2016Likely our closet sliders are luan/hollow core doors and will not be heavy enough to service without flopping back and forth. You would have to weight down their bottoms maybe with a plank of wood.Helpful Reply

William on Oct 31, 2016Usually there are adjustments on sliding doors to keep them on track. And yes, they can be converted to barn doors, but they will be short since they will need to be raised above the door opening. You can add extra wood to the bottom to take up the gap. Also, there is a guide that mounts on the floor to keep the doors stable as the roll.Helpful Reply

JEWEL C on Nov 01, 2016I have the same problem but I cant use the barn door conversion because of lack of space. I am going to put up really nice drapes which can be custom made to fit.Helpful Reply

The Bachelorette Pad Flip on Nov 01, 2016You can turn any door into a barn door by purchasing a barn door kit. I recently did it with an antique door. You can see my post about it here: https://bachelorettepadflip.com/2016/08/22/th...Helpful Reply
