  • Have you looked at Freecycle for people giving things away?

if you can, find some sturdy cardboard boxes that are all the same size- say 12-20" wide or whatever works for you. Fold the top flaps all inside, to further strengthen the sides or just cut them off. Then arrange them where they all have top facing the same way and tape, glue and or staple them together. An arrangement of three across and three tall works well. You can pretty it up by covering it with contact paper, which will also further sturdy it up. Then you will have serviceable cubby for your clothes. this can be stood against a wall or laid on its back and slid under your bed. I'd also keep an eye on buy-sell-trade sites or see if there is a freecycle.com for your area.

I had thought about card board boxes, but wasn't sure how to go about putting enough together to make it work for my clothes and look nice also. I have card board boxes on hand, that is where my clothes are now, but having to open and close them all the time is quite a bother. Out of all the comments made in reply to my question, your suggestion is the only one I can do, since I already have most of what I need to do it. I really thank everyone for your suggestions.

Go to the goodwill store or any second hand store, they are usually pretty cheap, add some paint and there you are. Good Luck
