I gave the painter the color I wanted and he painted the living room. It's too dark. How can I lighten it without repainting the whole room. There is only one picture window in the room.

Put a couple mirrors, large or small, around the room, on walls, or sitting on cabinets, and let the light from the window, and from the room lights, bounce off the mirrors, adding more light that way!

Hmmm;...I'd try lighting, add more, and bringing in fabric, perhaps pillows on your sofa, to try and lighten the appearance of the room. It may well be that you'll have to repaint. Yikes!

  • Don't know what kind of lighting you have but try bright white light bulbs. and use pops of white in throw pillows and other décor items.

you could just get paint sponge and use a lighter color and sponge around the edge or just any where to lighten up the room.

cut the sponge up in different shapes, or something like that
