I would try a tan.

I vote for dark green or black!
What color is the mortar? Stay in that category for color. Spend your money on a really attractive door knob. Or use a green tone. Brick is difficult to match to other colors. Buy some of the practice colors from your local store in shades yo think will work. Paint a large piece of cardboard or wood and put it near some of the brickwork. Then pick the one you like.
It depends on your taste, but a deep orange could look really beautiful.

Any color for the door would be beautiful. I love the look of black painted shutters on red brick; it looks really elegant.
