use the colors you like...the colors that make you feel good, and lift your spirits. The Pantone company think tank puts out a list of colors thery think should be popular and trendy....manufactureing companies use the colores they sugest. Doesn't mean we have to use them.

I agree with Dfm! These trends come out to sell more products. Use the colors and decorate how you feel comfortable.

I also agree with DMF. Whatever is trending this year will change next year. A few years ago, I painted my walnut cabinets white. There were 2 reasons. One was that white was trending (when I put them in walnut was treading) Now I've heard that walnut is starting to trend again. The second reason was that my kitchen was too dark. At first I loved it, because I was tired of the darkness. I'm going to leave my cabinets white, maybe with gray this year when I paint them. The 'professional contractor' who did them, didn't seal them (or maybe didn't prep, I don't know) but the paint has chipped in a few places. This time I'm going to do it myself.
