Can you re-stain Laminate flooring ?

    I don't think so . Even if u sanded it down it's not wood. Ugh. Good luck...

    It really depends on what exactly it's made of, but generally if it's wood, you can lightly stain it one time only. Usually the wood is too thin to sand much. You would definitely want to only try it on a very small hidden spot. A store that carries your type of laminate would be your best adviser

    Laminate flooring cannot be stained,it is made of a plastic composite

    No, Jennifer is right, you can't stain laminate floors, but if you really hate it you can paint it. There is also a tool available to help you create faux wood grain in paint called a wood grain rocker. It takes some practice to get it to look natural and you definitely would need to seal it with several coats of the sealant of your choice.

    Yes you can stain it. After you stain it and it drys, rough it up with medium sand paper, and then coat it with many coats of Varathane. Many coats. When I Varathane a floor I use minimum 10 coats, sanding lightly between coats. It will last for many many years.
