If you match the walls and floors, you may not like the effect. If you want to do it, get some paint swatches and match them up. Then try samples on the wall to see what will really match up.
Depends on colors you like honestly. But with the light color floor I think darker colors look really nice. For instance a burgundy or maroon or maybe a deeper blue. But if you don't like the dark colors of the room or dark colors Then possibly lighter shade of these colors. Take a picture if you can that might help to you to see what the room looks like and what other stuff you have in there
Hi Mary. I have oak floors and cabinets. Our walls are a redish burgundy, and a sage green. I also painted an area a golden yellow. They all work very well together.
Thank you all for your input. Appreciate it and will try the lighter colors on the floor since dark ones will not work in the space. Thank you again.
Either a deep red or medium blue. get some samples and see what you like
I think blue or beige my floors are very much like what you discrive and that is what we did it looks really good
I read a blog recently from an interior designer regarding someone with the same dilemma as you. She said if you have hardwood floors, no matter what color they are, consider them neutral. She said you do not need to choose paint colors to coordinate with the floor. ....any color walls go with hardwood floors. I don't think you should stress over matching the wall color to the floor color - anything you choose should like fine! :)
A pale green or peach or creamy white
Why would you want your walls the same color as your flooring?
