Bright Yellow
If you siding is grey-like, I think a deep teal or aqua would look great.
A very soft aqua, a deep red, yellow, bright aqua, or teal. I agree about staying away from the true colors. Pick several colors and shades of those colors. Get samples and paint white poster board. Put these up against your siding. This will help you decide on a color you really like. It is worth it to spend a little time and buy some samples. Doors are difficult to paint and you will probably keep this color for several years, so put in the effort before you paint so that you don't regret your decision after you paint. Trust your instincts and you'll do fine.
Tiffany Blue
Paint it a reddish brown, then swipe some stain on it to achieve a beautiful wooden looking door. Or black. Elegant classic but not a cheesy looking color.
A soft pink. Or glossy black.
