It’s a wax with tint in it. You are supposed to use a wax to seal chalk painted surfaces. There are clear and tinted (antique) waxes.
If you have access to Annie Sloan chalk paint, you can also get both the clear was
x and black wax from that retailer...that’s the only one that I personally have used; however I am sure there are plenty others out there
It's a tinted sealant wax to finish the chalk paint job. It gives the chalk paint a bit of a darker look o bring it all together
