You can use them to make a stool-https://www.pinterest.com/pin/296815431661505455/
I used a shadow box that was the width of the Kung Fu belts and stacked them in order from white to black. Years of effort went into earning them and I wanted something simple and respectful.
Line with soaked disposabe diapers and maybe they would do for plants.
Some ideas come to mind: use them for making into quilts, weave them into place mats, use for drapery tie backs, use for handles on large bags, use them to tie up large items, such as a a rolled up comforter or carpet you're saving. Personally, I like the quilt idea as they could be saved and made into a quilt for the person who has gone through the karate classes (a great keepsake).
Weave them together, hang on the wall and attach award or jewelry pins to them
