Hi this is Peggy. In our town we can recycle TV's at Best buy. It may cost a few dollars, but it will be better for the environment.
At our Best Buy, you can bring in up to three pieces of electronics at a time at no charge.
Sadly, no there is neither a function or a need for TV parts. They are manufactured to be simply thrown away once they have stopped working, or are no longer compatible with the latest AV technology.
Yes, I too have heard about Best Buy's program for used TV's. However, Best Buy does not 'recycle' the parts. TV's, and other electronic equipment are simply collected, then eventually disposed of in bulk lots.
