Marianne on Jun 09, 2014I would paint the walls a light version of the same color, and use white accessories. And add a pop of a bright color of your choice of decorative items.Helpful Reply

Jeanette S on Jun 09, 2014Blue glass tiles out of date? Oh NO they are not! I haven't even gotten that far into my updating so these are in my future!! Glass tiles are SO IN right now you would be very foolish to get rid of them! I think your bathroom is perfect...but you might want to add a pop of color in a soft yellow or a chartreuse.Helpful Reply

Anny Palanzi on Jun 10, 2014I agree with Marianne. Since the color is such a cool tone, I would add one, maybe two, bright warmer colors such as coral and/or lime. If you like those colors, that is. And keep all or most of the towels, etc. a nice bright white. I don't know if you have shower doors or a shower curtain, but if it's a curtain you might look for some eye-popping colors in a fabric store or online. If you did that, you could even pull a couple of colors from that for accent pieces.Helpful Reply

Lori J on Jun 10, 2014Wow--those are so beautiful. No way I would do them in. Update the lighting...find a theme that incorporates the color. Could be beachy. What about a wainscotting or planked look above the tile?Helpful Reply

B on Jun 10, 2014The shelving unit is going as well as the light bar and towel rack. I like the idea of a bright lime green/chartreuse wall with white accents. Also thought the peacock theme with all the bright colors could be fun and classy. The unit sits on the lake and beach. Trying to keep it so that it fits into the surroundings.Helpful Reply

Lavende on Jun 10, 2014They're fun! I'd paint the wall a mid-toned grey and definitely add some bright coral hand towels. And frame the mirror with white wood, replace the metal rack with white wood shelves, and put on a shower curtain that ties all the colors together.Helpful Reply

Phoenix Tent & Awning on Jun 11, 2014If you are planning on "remodeling" the bathroom, you could always just update the vanity (one w/storage options) and update the lighting fixture. Depending on your vanity choice, your towel rack could stay or be replaced to match the new vanity! No matter what you do though --- keep the tile... it is great character and appears to be in good shape!Helpful Reply
