How do you apply food-safe resin to a textured counter top?
The surface is textured (it has been sealed) but I would like a food friendly resin surface for more durability.

Find out the manufacturer of the countertop product and see what they recommend. It sounds like you want to fill in some of the slightly textured areas with a food safe product so it is a smooth surface.
It it may or may not work with this type of product. Many of the honed, rustic surfaces are designed with that intent. Surface products are specific to manufacturer.

FDA approved food safe resins. You can use any of these. Doesn't what the manufacturer says. No surface products are specific to manufacturers.
