We stained our screen house wood right away and reapply every few years since it's exposed to weather. If painting, you have to wait to let the chemicals gas out since they could lift the paint. We were told to wait two months.
Hey Janet! I have not ever waited to stain treated lumber. I lightly sand it down (wearing a respirator bc you do not want to breathe the particles in) and then stain away! Make sure and seal it well for outdoor use! Hope this helps!
We waited for the next season for our PT deck, it was installed in July August we waited to the following April to allow it to dry out. You may want to check with the sealer that you intend to use for the best recommendations or call the helpline to maintain your paint stain warranty.
