FloorNerd on Oct 14, 2012well particle board should not be in a bathroom. so you don't have any covering over the particle board? the toilet flang should be above the floor for easy toilet replacement.Helpful Reply

FloorNerd on Oct 14, 2012you can take the particle board up and replace it with B/C sanded 1/4" plywood then put peal and stick or sheet vinyl.Helpful Reply

Leslie F on Oct 15, 2012thank you Mark that was a huge help.We bought this mobile home a year and a half ago and the person who lived here before us put down the particle board in the bathroom then put down the peel and stick vinyl flooring.W couldn't believe they used particle board in the bathroom.Thanks very much for your help.Helpful Reply

FloorNerd on Oct 15, 2012I have never tiled anything in a mobile home so your floor structure for tile would have to be further looked into. CDX ply is cheap but tile isn't and you would have to use sanded CDX...B/C or A/C would be a better ply to use.Helpful Reply
