One of my favorite scents of all time is vanilla so I decided to whip up some homemade Vanilla bath salt using my favorite essential oils. Vanilla is such a calming scent and it really can help you relax. This homemade bath salt used only 4 ingredients and took 5 minutes to mix up.
Ingredients

1 Cup Epson Salt

1 Tbsp Baking Soda

2 drops Vanilla Essential oil

1 Drop Yellow Food Coloring (Optional)
Using a Medium mixing bowl pour in your cup of salt and top off with your baking soda. Mix it up and add in 1 drop of yellow food coloring to give it a fresh look. Once again give it a good mixing until all the color is soaked into the salt. To add the final touches add in 2 drops of Vanilla essential oil and give it one quick stir. Once you are happy with your bath salt store it in an airtight container and store in your bedroom, bathroom or wrap it up for a gift. This should stay fresh for up to 3 months!
Perfect for gifting!

How much do you use per bath, so people know when given as a gift.

I want to try this, but I'm partial to lavender or peppermint. Since it's only a few drops of the essential oils, do you think that the peppermint would irritate the skin if one is sensitive to it?

    • Hello. yeah peppermint is good for sensitive skin i use it myself. It as menthol abilities. So it should be so soothing. Hope this helps you :)
