The "bar part" is all in the overhang... it should be at least 10 inches to allow for knees... it can be 12-14 inches.. support with shelf brackets or corbels, just make sure and reinforce the side board structure behind them (from the inside) Top can be Formica, butcher block, or tile... you can also look for a granite, marble, or quartz remnantHelpful Reply- See 1 previous
