Ideas on turning old bathroom vanity into bookshelf/room divider
-
Darla on Jan 27, 2015You can either build a bookcase from scratch (it's just a big box with shelves) or find a bookcase that will fit on top. You could add molding and stain or paint it to match the vanity. Of course you will have to remove the sink and put on a flat top first.Helpful Reply

Pgl on Jan 27, 2015To make a simple room divider remove the doors and the back of the vanity.Cut the back of the vanity horizontal and insert to divide the shelves, this will allow you shelves to use on both sides for books or to decorate. If there is no back get an inexpensive piece of wood cut [ do measure the space first] and use tiny L brackets. Remove the sink and have a board cut to fill the space don't forget the clips and screws to hold it up. [where ever you have the board cut will help you with the clips] Now you can stain , paint or do a foe lace top there are tons of ideas on the internet. It divides the space but doesn't block the open view.Helpful Reply
