I would like to teach my granddaughter to sew. I remember making a gathered apron for my first 4-H project. I am having a hard time finding a pattern

    Hi Carol,

Maybe a visit to a local sewing store like Joann's and going through their book of patterns would help you, that way you could buy and actual pattern and select your fabric. Other than that you could go on Amazon and order a pattern. Some people just look at a pattern they have seen on Pinterest and eyeball it from there, they are amazing!

If you like to do things free lance, maybe take a newspaper and try making your own pattern.

    Aprons are pretty straight forward.

Hello Carol, I remember I made a simple apron in 5th grade. Make your own pattern with brown paper, which the craft store should have. Check out on line "How to make children's apron." The bottom is straight, and the top part looks like a cumberbun. Check also with a fabric shop.

Fabric stores such as Joann's carry patterns and so does a Walmart with a fabric dept. Also Walmart on line has them.
