...I used hammerite metal paint - gave a really good cover to the ratten and didnt need to rub down first - suggest taking it outdoor use a standard tin and brush for the first coat then spray paint for the second coat to get a really glossy finish...did it yers ago and still not chipped and looking good
You can either spray paint rattan or brush chalk paint or latex.
I have painted several pieces of rattan type chairs. The spray paints have a rather limited range of colors. Recently I have been using small brush and or foam 'brush" with good results.
