What can I do about paint chipping on the front door?
-
MN Mom on May 17, 2016Depending on how bad it is chipped, you could try sanding it. Is the paint is peeling you may not have prepped the door correctly when it was originally painted. Be sure you start with a smooth surface and prime and then repaint the door.Helpful Reply

Marcy, Professional Designer, Artist and Arts and Crafts Instructor on May 19, 2016MN Mom, thank you for your response. I've lived in the home for five years and the door was already painted. What method of sanding, do you suggest? I've never done this before. Thanks,.MarcyHelpful Reply

Rebecca Loud on May 28, 2016I was thinking it you could sand it, only takes a bit of muscle. Take a bit of the color to your local paint store for a paint match, if you want the same color.Helpful Reply

R Walter on May 29, 2016It would make it easier if the peeling is really bad, but you could do it by hand, just takes a little longer.Helpful Reply
