Paint "Color Lock" siding

Years ago, we sided our house with Color Lock siding....we are not so much in love with the color now. Does anyone know if you can paint it?

You can paint it but you will need to do your proper "prep" to ensure the paint job lasts longer...once you get into the "paint" cycle you will need to follow this road for the life of the siding. Proper prep will include a thorough cleaning ( with TSP) and a good primer job.

We did not paint the house so, four years later....We are now in the "need to" instead of want to paint...the siding is in good shape but looks shabby. The finish is worn. We have been told to clean as mentioned above, prime and paint. Just checking to see if anyone has any other advice? -
