I need help choosing colors to paint my living room furniture

All my wooden furniture is espresso and too dark for our new home. I have a big 3 piece entertainment and would like to paint it. I also would like to paint the coffee tables and end tables (2) in complimentary colors. My sofa is beige/wheat color and chairs are a soft blue/gray. I'd appreciate some help. Thanks so much.

I love the look of two town grays. The body light gray and the drawers or cabinet fronts in dark gray. It goes with anything else in the room and with the soft blue/grays would be awesome

What is your wall color? Is it going to remain the color it is? Not knowing what color your wall is, I assume it is something other than white, so I would suggest using white chalk paint for all of your dark pieces. This will brighten up your space so much. You could mix things up by leaving the top of the coffee table or end tables their dark color or paint the interior of your entertainment center with a bright pop of your favorite color--green, yellow, etc. Or paint the drawers or doors a color & all the other wood white. Chalk paint is the easiest way to paint. Be sure to use liquid sandpaper/deglosser first & use Annie Sloan (or a similar) clear wax after. Look on Pinterest under painted furniture for ideas on colors & combinations. There are a lot of tutorials on using chalk paint if you are not familiar with how to do it. Best of luck & post pics when you are done.

I am in the process of doing the same thing. I had wood end tables that I wanted to lighten here are 3 that I did that were so fun, I painted them all an light ivory and then used paints papers etc. You can use your imagination and make anything to your liking. I do recommend several coat of clear coat to protect what ever you do. Hope this helps
