Päint swatches never give the true color. Buy the small paint samples now available änd paint a 12x12 square to see true color. Light and surface being päinted will make a difference.
Try a different color instead of dark blue maybe a burnt orange.
I like the tribal pottery. I agree I would try burnt orange instead of the blue
i had that color of brown...had. it made my bath feel really small and closed in. i couldn't find a light bulb that didn't make it look like hurled chocolate milk.

Choosing colors can be a very individual preference. I'm kinda old, but I remember having a shirt with those colors in it when I was a kid!

Or maybe you could google for brown and turquoise or teal room images and they may list paint brands and names.
It is so hard to give good advice. To be honest, both browns look alike. I can tell you this: when choosing paint colors, work with the chips. However far down you go on a paint chip, you should go down just as far with your other colors. For example, if you pick a color that is the second color on a paint chip, you should use the second colors with any other paint in the room. The same rule applies when choosing different shades of the same color. For example, If you want to paint a room different shades of blue, use the other blues on the same paint chip.
