Can you paint an acrylic bathtub?

I have an acrylic bathtub, jacuzzi style, that is an almond color. I would like to change my bathroom to white so either I paint this, or replace it. Anyone have any ideas?

Unless you are looking to completely remodel the bathroom, the most cost effective option would be to paint the tub, for removal of the bathtub isn't just lift the tub, it would most definitely affect the walls and floor as well.

  @LD Thank you, Linda. We are going to do a remodel, but if I could still use the tub I'd like to. Can it be repainted? I know cast iron can be repainted, but acrylic?

Why you bother yourself to paint an acrylic bathtub? It will cost you more, instead of that, you can search for budget-friendly acrylic bathtubs.
