Painting wood look resin

I have two wood look resin lamps I would like to paint. I want to add more color to my room. I have a navy couch, black and tan herribone chairs and a window seat cushion that is pomigranit, butter and green stripe. I am not sure how to paint the resin and looking for suggestion in color. The room has light hardwood floors and rich walnut built in bookcases.
Stumpted......
Thanks Torri

Do you have photos? And what color are the lamps now? Did you want to keep a natural wood look? Sorry to answer your question with so many questions, but folks can probably give better answers with photos and more info.

To paint the resin lamps, scuff them lightly with a fine sanding sponge and wipe the dust off with a damp rag. Then go to your local Sher-Wms store and pick up a spray can of X-I-M primer, which sticks to hard to paint surfaces. Then you can paint them with another spray can finish. Ofcourse you will have to tape off the parts you don't want to paint. Best, Charles

Torri, i think a beautiful Lime would be a luscious color for the lamps with the colors you mentioned. Or if you don't like that Idea then how about using the Pomegranate color from the couch to paint the lamps? although I still think the lime would add a great splash to the room.

Thanks Sharon.........I hope to go bright. The room does have beatutiful pieces it just feels so heavy. Lime could really lighten and brighten. Thank You

I know it's boring, but white brightens like nothing else. Benjamin Moore's Sea Salt is a lovely whitish option.

I wouldn't say boring ..... I do have white plantation shutters in the room. Does Sea Salt lend itself to any color?
