MN Mom on May 01, 2016Pam Rustoleum spray paints are made specifically for inhibiting rust on metal. Their paints come in a variety of colors and sheens and finishes as well as clear coats. They're available at most hardware and home improvement stores.Helpful Reply

Linda Y on May 02, 2016Hammerite is a metal paint available in smooth and hammered finishes in a variety of colours. Spray and brush on versions are available. Alternatively you could use enamel paint, car paint or even gloss paint.Helpful Reply

ShirleyB on May 03, 2016if it is rusty already, us some naval jelly to remove the rust, and then use the rust inhibiting Rustoleum or the Krylon equivalent...so many great color options. Available at Walmart!Helpful Reply
