I would recommend you paint something soothing to you as you want to be able to relax at the end of the day. That is totally a matter of personal taste. Some people like pastels but I have seen some really bold colors. What are your favorites?
Well first go with a color that compliments your decor or taste. I personally I prefer a soft color palette but have seen rooms look great with bold colors. But even with the bold colors it wasn't loud colors. Find what is soothing for you.
I agree... something you find soothing. I know blue is supposed to be a good soothing color, or a sage green
Painting is very personal and truly you will receive answers on what others like. My advice is to browse through Websites for Instance Behr.com and look at inspirations for bedrooms. Remember the color will not be exact but will help you to start.Write the number of the color chart and take a visit to the store.Should you like the color buy a sample first. What looks like the right shade in the store may not look the same in your home.Always consider lighting...morning....afternoon....night and window lighting
Depending on the look and style you are going for, you could use a soft blue or green for a soothing look, a neutral greige for a more modern look, a pale yellow for a soft feminine look and even a bright bold color to brighten up the space. any color will work as long as YOU are happy with it. Don't be afraid to try something different. There are lots of samples available to give you an idea of the look before you commit to painting the whole room. Try several and look at them during different times of the day to see how your lighting affects them. Choose a color that goes with your style and your decor.
