What's the best paint to use on kitchen cupboard doors?

I have older style doors that have already been painted but I want to add some pizzazz to them. Currently they are flat white and there are no handles. Any ideas for painting and dressing them up>

Not the cheapest thing in the world, but I like the Rustoleum Cabinet refinishing kits. Before the cabinets had a white vinyl yuck on them that was cracked and peeling off of many of them. Then it was pressboard with NO finish on it. Last the finished project.![]()

My kitchen used 1 LARGE kit, but I did not do a couple of areas. I probably would have needed 1 large and 1 small to do it all. I rent and the landlords bought the kit for me. I know they would buy me another if I asked. I am wanting to do a couple of my personal items in the same shade and know that a small won't be enough, but a large will be too much, so I will do the finishing bits then. -

I would use a paint that can stand up to regular cleaning with fading, then I might use stencils/paint/hardware or more to make a personal statement reflecting my personality.
