Hi Donna, I did a bit of research and found that you should use oil-based enamel for good adhesion. The article I read was written by a professional painting contractor who recommends this. On another site I read that you should use a paint brush designed for this exact purpose. It's shaped like a hockey stick. I hope this helps you. Good luck.

For mine I used Engine paint, high temp and easy to do
I used a wire brush cleaned off the old paint and then spray painted them with krylon hammered metal spray paint they turned out great and completed my color scheme
Thank you all for your suggestion, I will research them all. It will be a while before i get to painting them....that will be last part of updating.
