
Why chalk paint?

Most people realize too late that chalk paint scratches too easily. Don't use it on frequently used pieces.Helpful Reply -

Typically when painting furniture, any imperfections need to be spackled or wood paste filled. Since it contains plaster-of-paris it is a thicker coating and covers imperfections. It also works on masonry.Helpful Reply -

I like the look of chalk paint. It's a bit more rustic. It is also super simple to use in terms of not needing to sand and prime.Helpful Reply -

Sure it's easier to apply, but then no one talks about applying wax to preserve the paint. I think this is a fad and in a few years people will not be decorating with it very much.Helpful Reply -
