Dan's of Central Florida, Inc. on Nov 23, 2011Cindy, your husband may be right on this one (don't hit me!). This can be something that is quite easy to mess up. Considering this is more or less unique wood, if something were to go wrong, there would not be a way to find any replacement flooring. If you do decide to go about this yourself, spend a bunch of time educating yourself with the process and tools required.Helpful Reply

Yamini LEED AP at Urbanmotifs on Nov 26, 2011As Dan said educate yourself before you try anything you've never done before. Ask around and even try a small portion as an example. I would say go for it since you've already done so much and especially if you want to save. I think for DIYers you and your husband have achieved quite a bit of work.Helpful Reply
