Stenciled Dining Room Chair Makeover

My Mom's dining room chairs badly needed a makeover so I took on the task. It's pretty easy to cover chairs with fabric. If there are screws under the chair and you can unscrew them and lift off the seat... it can be recovered very easily with a staple gun and new fabric. It is the single thing that can make a chair look completely new again.
I don't have the "before" pictures but believe me, these chairs needed covering.
See the screws under the chair? I unscrewed them, took the cover off and recovered with this awesome neutral colored chevron fabric. It's a step up toward modern but still goes with my Mom's classic traditional home.
Somehow it was lackluster, though, and I thought if I stenciled on the seat it would step this project up a lot.
Since my Mom loves roses I thought that would be perfect and I am so into the gold colors right now. I looked online for a rose pattern, printed it out on card stock paper, cut it out with an X-acto knife, and used it to stencil a gold rose on the chair.
Doesn't it go well with Mom's decor? I think so. Best wishes to all.
