Yamini LEED AP at Urbanmotifs on Feb 05, 2012Anna, recently a hometalk member worked on her very old home. The tore down the bathroom and and recreated that vintage look the home demanded. - http://www.hometalk.com/member/xa5d5s7srk Scroll down her profile and see her bathroom project. I can see a claw foot tub for sure in your space.Helpful Reply

Faidra at CA Global Inc on Feb 07, 2012Anna, what are you looking for; to recreate the 60's with modern comforts or go a whole different way? Can we see some photos of the rooms, and give us your list of wants/nots/gotta haves! Your hometalk family is ready to assist. I have the same kinda home in Marietta, although my home is pretty eclectic I do love my original pink tile; floor and ceilings - just spruced up paint, fixtures, put in a beautiful granite counter top, new sink and faux finished the cabinets & mirror, updated the knobs. I'm happy for now with little financial output. Let us know, we're here for you.Helpful Reply

Anna on Feb 07, 2012I want to upgrade to tile w/stone look and everything new. Don't really want vessel sinks, so need to solve that problem. Looking at tile concerns me as may not be happy with a color long term. I'm drawn to the Emil Ceramica tile of Earth but think in the whole, may be too much red tones. May need to go with Fire, which actually is cooler to me, not as much color. After choosing the tile, how to decide on the wall color as I've always went with white, which seems boring. Lots of decisions and then there is the 2nd bath - do same or go w/color? Leaning toward green/blue tones but use lots of bath powder - which may do better with lighter tones on a day to day basis. I'm sure I seem to be over-thinking, but that is what I do. Don't spend thousands every day. Thanks.Helpful Reply

3po3 on Feb 12, 2012Sorry, I wasn't clear in my reply. At the top of the page, you should see a search box that says "search posts." If you search for bathroom remodels, you can find some great projects and great ideas. Or just follow this link, which I should have provided in the first place: http://www.hometalk.com/?filter=bathroom+remodel&search=posts&types%5B0%5D=photo You can search for more specific items as well.Helpful Reply

Gladys on Mar 16, 2016Staying with the character of a house is nice. Pantone has named a Pink and a Light Blue as its 2016 colors of the year. Is your tile pink or blue? You could have an historic house in the near future.Helpful Reply
